An afternoon with friends seldom seen

This is Enzo (Lorenzo to his mum).

One of our friends seldom seen, that we have spent an afternoon with. Thinking of identities, we are a group of friends, lovers, husbands, wives, mothers, fathers, daughters, sons. sisters, brothers and all things in betweeen.

We mix and mingle. Some things change, some things stay the same.

The majority of people gathered here this afternoon were from when Rol was at primary school, so I came late to this particular group. Nonetheless, despite my (ahem) spectacular debut which involved vast amounts of alcohol and a screaming row back in the late 80s I was welcomed.

On reflection, I think this is one of the loveliest portraits I have done.
