the beach

went to visit two good friends of mine at the beach for what has become our annual july 4 weekend get together. in all years past, we have always attempted to take out the sea kayaks only to find our dreams smashed by a sudden storm. now in the face of a perfect weekend, we instead found ourselves too lazy and too late in the day to bring out the vessels - maybe next year.

i planned to have much more of the weekend blipped, but forgot my camera nearly everywhere we went - i need to improve this. at any rate, here's a quick snappy - crowded beach scene at emerald island. this marks a record breaking third time of being at a beach so far this year. although the first two were in thailand, good friends made this a great third visit as well.
