The Black Mountains
Up at the crack of dawn to drive to Capel-y-ffin in Monmouthshire to go for a walk in the Black Mountains with the family and cousins. Beautiful dawn too, which made getting up easier. Had to pick up a very hungover brother en-route and stop for him to be sick half way. Nice.
Very windy up on top - along the steep windward edge (Rhiw Wen) you could lean right into the wind, and it'd keep you up for a tad if you jumped up into it.
I had lots of fun looking at the rock types and guessing what it was - thankfully I was right, having just checked online. Devonian sandstone, if anyone's interested...
In other news, just gave in to the bombardment of Spotify adverts and gave them a fiver to shut up for a month.
