snow!

every christmas eve it seems the family gathers for some time outside together. often a walk along the beach and in the woods. this year we ventured somewhere rather new, somewhere none of us had spent much time exploring - a new adventure. so our walk in the woods turned into a rather long hike over stunning hills - trekking back to the car along the calm winter shores of lake michigan. boots in the sand.

a smile on my face that the ground is white and christmas is here :)
