Gold

This is one of the headdresses that's currently on exhibit in a mall. They're holding a contest of headdresses for next month's festival (called Sinulog) in honor of a saint the Filipinos fondly call "Santo Nino", one of the many Santo Nino festivals held around the Philippines, when people wear colorful costumes and headdresses, paint themselves black and dance wildly to the beat of drums. I purposely chose to blur this image hoping it would convey motion which I associate with the wild rhythmic dancing and drumbeating that's going to take place next month.
