Millionaire's Sundae :: Chain Free Tuesday

Family holiday tradition yesterday, avoiding the sales and big chain corporate Christmas as far as possible, and supporting local family run businesses instead.

A trip to Edinburgh's best cinema, the brilliant Dominion for a slouch on the couch with a glass of something refreshing (preferably beer-shaped), was this year preceded by a brisk walk up the Braid Hills. Or in the case of the youngest member of our party, repeated runs up and down the Braids and into the whins. Oh, to be young and full of chocolate.

Late lunch at the wonderful Italian cafe that never ever disappoints, S Luca's, made for the perfect day out. Just as well it turned out so good as we'd originally been invited out to family for the day... but they forgot and went shopping in the sales.
