Hitting The Wall!!

A photo of a photo, this is my good friend John.

This is the Edinburgh Marathon in 1984 before John was educated in the huge importance of hydration and nutrition prior to and during a race.
His aim was to break the 3 hours. He tagged along with Lesley Watson, a top Scottish marathon runner of the decade and stayed with her until 2 hrs 52mins.
Yes, you guessed........
The Wall hit him hard, it took him 9 mins to complete the last 150 metres!!

Tonight Mrs B and I visited John to stock up our new "matching" Kindle Libraries!
I would just like to say John was looking a lot better than he did in this photo. Thanks for the books John!!
