Pruning

Every Christmastime the task for me is to prune the veteran apple trees in the back garden at Mum's. It is easy to prune; what takes the time is tidying up and cutting the twigs and branches into smaller pieces. Even in the space of a few short years colourful lichens manage to colonise.
