Time and opportunity.....

It's a dog's life? It's a lion's life!

I thought the saying was it's a dog's life, but after sitting for about half and hour and observing a pride of lions, it think it should be reassessed.

The previous day they were on top of a rock, overseeing everything, today huddled under the brush, snoozing after their kill of an impala the previous evening.

The cub is so cute, and yes not as sharp as I would like but you aren't allowed to stand up to take the photos, the cub kept looking around, and I wanted to get the other lioness "lounging" in the background.

It was a magical day, coming across two leopard cubs that had never before been seen on the reserve. My ranger was blown away that he saw them (well he only saw one and I saw two).

I now sit at the airport lounge, feeling sad that I am going to be leaving behind the country air and heading back to cities and my regular life. It had to happen at some stage.
