Over the River and Through the Woods
Yesterday, we got up early and left to celebrate Christmas with my parents and brother. They live three hours (by car) from our house, so it is always a bit of an adventure.
Arriving and visiting is always so much fun at my parents' home. The Christmas decorations are so amazing and just a lot of fun to see. The above photo is a miniature village, set up meticulously by my brother on a hutch in the dining room. I cannot believe all of the miniature elements my brother finds to add to this tiny vignette! From an itsy-bitsy fence in front of the display, to the macro lights, to tiny trucks on a brick road, the display is incredible!
My mom loves to lavish everyone with wonderful meals and yesterday's offerings were great, once again. We had such a fun and wonder-filled time. As always, it was hard to leave for home, but we finally did.
We arrived home after midnight, and doing so for the third time in four days, I felt too zapped to even pick up my little netbook. So, a back Blip it is! I think the Christmas celebrating is now dwindling to a close and I am looking forward to getting some good nights sleep!
