East of Occidental

Seattle surely has it's history. Some not all that great. This picture reminded me of a documentary called "East of Occidental." Asian Americans at one point were only allowed to live east of Occidental Avenue (the location of the International District is evidence of such racial segregation). But more than that, it was about the struggle of Asian Americans to be part of American society.
