Long-tailed tits
Went by the kitchen window at just the right time to catch sight of these lovely creatures. They're long-tailed tits and I don't see them very often - perhaps a couple of times a year. Once I was sitting out in the garden having a cup of coffee when a flock came past and stayed fluttering around quite close for a couple of minutes. They seem to go around in largish groups and also seem fairly timid, disappearing as suddenly as they arrive, so I've never been able to get a picture before. I think there were around 7 or 8 today and at one time most seemed to be trying to get a place on the feeder. You can see 5 in this image although you have to look hard to see the head that belongs to the long tail at the bottom. Need to get some more nuts - they looked pretty hungry not to say ravenous. Got several shots but decided to blip this group shot. Noticed when I looked at the images that at least two have been ringed so someone's managed to get close enough to catch them physically. Don't know whether birds can have heart attacks.
