Boxing Day Walk

Mum, Leila and I went for a lovely Boxing Day ramble through the fields and along the canal. We saw lots of folk as everyone seems to go for a walk on Boxing Day and New Year's Day around here! We even helped a lady open the swing bridge, which was quite entertaining as it took 4 of us and usually men manage it single-handedly. My excuse is that it was slippery round there, so we could put our full weight behind it in case we slipped over...

We came back through the fields and past the church; I've seen this tree a few times in the last week and thought it was so beautiful. Especially as blossom shouldn't be out at this time of year, but somehow this tree doesn't seem out of place.
