Mmmm...yummy....

Yesterdays untold tale of the travelling turkey....

So we always do a big family nosh round at my sisters and bro-in-laws for Christmas lunch but disaster struck in the early hours of Christmas morning when they discovered that their oven was on the terminal blink (as in not only 'not working hotter than lukewarm' but also blowing the house fuses in the process)...various phonecalls later and the turkey was transported in all it's tepid glory to my Ma's 3 miles away and a meat thermometre was shipped in from Monkseaton 'just in case'. Let's just say that by the time the bird had made the return flight lunch was a bit late this year....so late that the bro-in-law's Mum (on day-release from the care home and more than a bit do-lally) had ample time to roundly abuse my other bro-in-law (who she's taken an unaccountable dislike to!) and threaten to zimmer-frame out because the "service was so slow"....ah yes, the joys of Christmas....Doctor Who was good though!!

I'm learning to drive the 'new' computer that the boy-in-the-attic constructed out of spare parts today....tell you what, it's way faster than the crap laptop....
