Lighting the tree

We spent most of today at the house of our friends, Margret and Guy. They live next door to us and are wonderful neighbours. Our meal was delicious, leisurely and civilised.

After the Queen's speech and a prolonged dessert and cheese and biscuits, it was finally dark enough to light the candles on their tree. (All Health and Safety officers may now look away!) The tree always looks beautiful with the candles. I took this image from my chair (and you may just be able to see the photographer in the bauble).

Settling down for an evening of undemanding TV.
