Happy Christmas

Taken with my new 50mm lens and some funky make your bokeh cool skills i learned from the internet..

After expecting to be woken up by an impatient Han i was surprised to awaken by myself feeling fairly excited despite having felt not at all christmassy the past few days and expecting it to be just another day.

The old stockings where waiting outside our doors, with socks and shower gel and a toothbrush and chocolate pennies, just as they should be. And grapefruit and croissants for breakfast made certain we knew it was Christmas day.

We went to church in Shinfield and saw all the Glovers and then had much more preparation before Granny Grandpa and Auntie Ray arrived for lunch followed by coffee and chocolates and presents. We're just having a quiet moment now before stuffing our faces again...

Funny isn't it, what makes Christmas 'feel christmassy'? I think it's just a childhood feeling because it never feels like it any more.. Mind you it always seems to be Christmas these days when it used to take forever to come round... Soon we'll be this time next year looking back and thinking ooh hasn't that gone fast.
