Aftermath...

We have had the most splendidly marvellous evening! We have had much good food and cakes and more cakes and the most excellent company and maybe a glass or 2 of rather good Lidl champagne.

Our last guests left at 10pm so we put Red to bed and the big 3 got busy putting wine and a mince pie out for Father Christmas, and a red apple and a Curly Wurly out for Rudolph. They also helped us tidy up the debris then brought down a ginormous stack of gifts from various friends and family members.

No sooner had they done that then they disappeared up off to bed. So now it is 22.50 on Christmas Eve. I am feeling no pain, nor is Ben (though he tells me he has not drunk as much as me). 4 children are in bed (though I suspect only 1 is sleeping). I have finally turned NORAD off and I have a lovely glass of water. I love Christmas I do!
