Hello sugar
Lunch at Take5, courtesy of two lovely friends from Brighton who were en route to Cromer to spend Christmas with Marian's aged parents.
Take5 is co-owned by the lovely Marilda and her husband Nic, and sugar cubes are kept in this lovely French tin which is presented to people for them to pick their sugar cubes for their coffee, using a rather fearsome looking instrument. Full set of pics can be seen here.
It was so lovely to arrive and find at our table an envelope with our names on containing a card from Nic and Marilda. The illustration was a drawing of two children - Margot and David - sledging in the snow, done by Margot when she was 6. She is now 30-something, David is 40-something. They are both great.
And the message in the card?
Amor, Salut, y Plata: as they say in South America
We are in Norwich. Marilda is French. I guess there may be people from South America reading this ......
