great little goohickey, cheeps when you get a knock, beeps like crazy as the line goes out, mind you at this point the rod is doing its best to climb off the rod-rest so this thing is really just confirming the obvious!

Still helped to account for a nice tench and a common carp today.

Caught another carp and 7 or 8 small roach on a conventional float. The bite alarm is ideal if you want to multi-task while fishing, you know, read the paper, do a Su Doku, have a snooze in the sun.
