Downy
It's another bird day here in southeastern NC. I've been busy with work and Christmas and that's not bad.
If you haven't already done so, please take a look at my Dec. 21, 2012 entry, "We're WIDE OPEN!". I am in search of a new theme/series and this could be it. Obviously, I really need a theme.
I am becoming fond of these tiny woodpeckers. I had never seen them until a couple of weeks ago, but now it seems we have quite a few. It must be the suet or the plethora of bird feeders we have this year. OK, it's not a plethora, but we have quite a few out there and we enjoy each of them.
You might want to take a peek at the downy woodpecker large.
