A cold tree, warmed up

It's actually been very mild recently, but sure felt cold when I took Amelie out for a walk. I bought my camera and tripod with me, on the off chance she might sleep, and I might get a chance to snap a few shots in the beautiful late afternoon sky. I even had a tree in mind that I pass quite a lot but have never photographed.

Got lucky - Amelie was asleep within 5 minutes, the gate to the field was open (although I did nearly lose a shoe in the wet ground!). I thought - hoorah..... and then after 3 shots the battery died!!! I was gutted. Still, had some fun editing them.
