The case of the missing matryoshka

Firstly, I didn't realise I had lost my Russian dolls until I found them today.
Secondly, I found them in my wardrobe, in with my belts.
Thirdly, there are now only 2 of them, there definitely used to be 5.

I want to blame Snowflake, but on this occasion I think she is entirely innocent. So... does anyone want to own up?
