Under the floorboards

Having finally investigated the watery noise under the livingroom floor it was found that a joint had split and the water was gushing out.
The solum is earth so the water will drain away and shouldn't have caused much damage.

But I could have done without the plumbers bill that will be arriving shortly.

(no offence to the plumbers, they arrived quickly and fixed the problem with the minimum of fuss and mess)
