Light wins

Christmas thought on this the winter solstice. "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."

That's it the long dark is on its way out. To mark the occasion I woke up in time for the winter solstice, saw it was dark and went back to sleep again. Decided later to run up to the twelves apostles, a bronze age stone circle. Arriving at noon -look at the length of the shadows. It was bright and very windy up there today, and the running exhilarating.

My prechristmas musings have moved on from Mary's shock and awe, to something important to me, that the darkness cannot and will not extinguish the light. So today's run felt part of that.

for those interested benjis gig was great, they were actually very good and have improved a lot since the summer, Benji just looked cool as he riffed away on his bass. Favourite number was " teenage kicks" which dates me.
