My cup runneth over....

.....with concrete and joy. Six times 32 tonne lorry-loads of concrete have been pumped into the trenches Nicolas, Thomas, Julien and Christophe dug over the last two days. The cement is reinforced with 3cm metal filaments and apparently this cuts out a good deal of the metalwork process.

So now we have the foundations and building work will start in the first week of January as long as there's no hold-up be the water supply company which has yet to put in the meter. Please keep your fingers crossed for us.
