Bah!!! Humbug!
Wretched procrastination....
I have not picked up knitting needles in so long. Daughter asked for some knit hats for Christmas. Piece of cake, right?
Or not.
I found the cutest pattern online for a knit scarf with a hood, Irish style. (so says the pattern, anyway) I printed the pattern out in August. Not knitting for a long time, I am given to reading patterns before I begin. It is easier to think ahead this way....
This pattern gave me a headache just reading the pattern. It seems minor details might have been omitted. I decided to begin this a couple of weeks ago. Well, I only got a little done, then felt I was at an impasse. I needed to mull it over.
Which brings us back to two evenings ago when I suddenly felt like I had a handle on the pattern. So, I set to work. Which brings us to this evening. Argh.
The knitting needles I am using are bamboo. I was working away, when one of the needles decided to splinter. End of my knitting. I am so frustrated.
I decided to show my work for my Blip. I love the pattern, but without needles, I can not advance. Living about 20 miles from the nearest store, my project will have to wait until tomorrow. And tomorrow is a busy day.
To add to my frustration, my camera decided tonight (almost midnight) is already tomorrow. Gads! So, I set the time to the correct time. Photograph the scarf. Upload photo. Great. Just great. Now the year is reading 2010.
That's it. I am posting this and going to bed!!!!! Perhaps there, I will not be faced with any more challenges.....
