40 Years Ago

On the 3rd September 1966 the last train ran from Nottingham Victoria to Marylebone on the Great Central line, the last remaining section of the GCR ran a faithful reproduction of the last day yesterday right down to the type of locomotives used. I took this picture and decided to try to mess about with it to see if I could make it look 40 years old. Bit of monochroming, increase sharpness decrease exposure and fade the colour to give it a bit of light drenched effect. I rather like it now. I have traditionally left my pics alone so perhaps there is something to this manipulation lark after all!!!
