E S C A P E

I love this old police station wall.

It's got a lot going for it.

I always want to climb up it and into another world; a world of high seas, sailors, sunshine, islands, flowers and freedom.

Especially on a grey christmas shopping hell day like today.

I saw a captive barn owl in a shopping mall today (he works for a wildlife trust) he wanted to be there even less than I did. His poor nocturnal eyes were tightly closed to block out the horror of the frenzied Christmas shoppers. I tried closing my eyes too but I couldn't shut it all out.

Nights will soon be drawing out.
