Sunset at the duck pond
These are the lucky ducks at one of the Halswell Quarry Park wetland ponds. The development of the park only began after quarrying ceased in 1990. The transformation into a passive recreation area is amazing. It's a wonderful resource for Christchurch, and is estimated to have 4,000 visitors per week, in fine weather. I spend lots of time in here, as it's just down the road.
