Here Comes Santa Claus

Bad start to the journey home today. Trains were cancelled on the line from my dad's flat in Inverkip due to a signal failure. I got a taxi from there to Port Glasgow where trains were delayed.

I cancelled my scheduled coffee with my sister in Glasgow as the delay meant that I was not going to get to Glasgow in time to have such a break. To rub salt in the wound, I dedn't even manage time to buy a take away coffee for the train as somebody thought that it would be a good idea to run a road race through Glasgow city centre on a Sunday morning in the run up to Christmas: the city centre was gridlocked as this lot got priority.

Bah, humbug!!
