Reading to Granny

After a very early start and a relatively easy train journey north, we arrived in Newcastle. It was straight to Cousin Jacob's third birthday party. The perfect antedote to three hours cooped up on a train, running around in a soft play. Carys made a new friend called Livvy. You would have thought they had known each other forever.

Back to Granny's for the debut showing of the Reception Christmas play DVD. Disaster, our copy is corrupted at 8mins and 37 seconds exactly! After a little trauma, we moved on to showing Ganny our homework for the holidays: three reading books, writing sentences and our word box.

Family dinner later with, both Uncles and their wives and Jacob and obviously Granny and Grandad. Sadly William's ulcer caused major issues and he ended up eating ice lollies and plain pasta.
