Oran Mor

The former Kelvinside Church has been known as Oran Mor (meaning 'great melody of life') for over 7 years. It is now a restaurant, a pub, a theatre and an event venue.

I know it best as the venue for the very popular - 'A Play, A Pie and A Pint'. This runs for 2 seasons each year and features plays by established and up and coming writers, lasting 50 minutes at lunch time. The idea is that workers can attend during lunch. Included in the price is a pie (or Quiche for the Veggies) and pint of beer (or glass of wine).

It won a 'Pub of the year' award this year and has a super atmosphere for such a large place.
