This is their lives
This year, both my parents had their 65th birthdays; they also celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary, (they were both only 19 when they got married in May 1966)!
My parents don't have many photos at all. In fact, all they have is their wedding album and just a few others dotted around the house...certainly they have none of themselves as children, of their parents, or even of myself and my sister as children.
I have always loved photos and photography, (much as that sadly never turned into any vague sort of talent!), so...I am the custodian of the family photos from both sides.
I decided to make up this hardback book as a Christmas present for my parents (to my delight, it was delivered today, just in time for Christmas), containing an ample selection of photos, starting with my grandparents as far back as the 1920s, right up to my two gorgeous nieces this summer. A real 'this is your life' trip through time. In fact, some of you may remember this blip a while back....well now you know what I was doing....and why! :-)
In other news, I have had a couple of weird and wonderful ideas for future blips. Either experimental, or just plain silly....in all probability...both :-/ I think I have finally given up on ever being very good at it, or ever taking a really great photo, so instead I'll just try to have fun :)
You have been warned! ;-)
Have a good evening :)
