Confused magpies

Spotted this nest when on the cycle on Sunday. I noticed that there was a lot of green, so went out today to take a closer look and to photograph it. This is the best I could get short of standing in the middle of the busy road. On Sunday the green looked like moss but up closer it is grass growing. There was also a magpie on a branch above it but it flew away. I have seen magpies collecting twigs from around the tree at bottom of garden. With the mild November the birds are totally confused.
