Delft

Today I was in the city of Delft with Regine.
We went to see a few churches and learned a lot about the history
of The Netherlands.

For instance, this photo is a piece of stone remembering
the world famous painter Johannes Vermeer.
He made some great paintings in his time, like the
Girl with the Pearl Earring, The Milkmaid and View of Delft.
In this church there was also a tomb remembering
Anthony van Leeuwen. The guy who made the first microscope.

It was a very cold day, I even fell off my bike in the morning
due to a frozen street. But it was also a great day with lots of
fun!
