Venue Booked

Its Moms 50th birthday in May.

On sunday, Mom said to me she wanted a party for her birthday. So starting yesterday i rang a number of venues to see if the dates i wanted were avalible.

One venue said yes it was so i made arrangements to take the deposit down next week to secure the room.

Today the venue called me back and said they were ever so sorry but they had double booked the room,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, OH NO back to the drawing board.

Today i have spent most of the day calling places i had not yet tried. 90% were already booked. 3% were avalibe but wanted silly money just to hire the room, room prices went from £500-2000, room only..... I THINK NOT. 2% were not answering the phone, so i called Gilberts, yes they had the room avalible for the date i wanted, yes the price wasnt bad and included disco, so i went and had a look to see what the room was like.................... Big room suitable for a birthday party. SO I BOOKED IT :)

With the venue and disco now booked and deposit paid, all i have got to do now, is a nice long list of who to invite and a list of food.

Oh yes, and start looking for old photos of mom, (a birthday party isnt a party without old photos), and getting the decorations for the room.....

There i was thinking that once christmas was out the way i would have it nice and easy................ how wrong was i!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
