Greenfinch in the rain...

A dreary December day, with lots of heavy rain. The day has had its ups and downs:

Good things
Buying Christmas presents in town before the crowds arrived;
Receiving notification that an invoice will be paid before Christmas;
Catching up with friends over coffee and cakes;

Bad things
Christmas round robins from worthy and high achieving individuals that make you feel totally inadequate...
Rain and mud.

The only photographs I took today were of birds on our pear tree, and even this was a struggle given the low light levels. At least this bright little greenfinch brings a splash of colour to the day :)
