Scrawny Old Man

By richtoller

Shake a tail feather

Cold, icy underfoot, raining and misty.
Only a blipper would go out when he didn't need to on a day like today- you can see it here, from the moorhen's body language as well as the raindrops on the ice. That's why I chose this one, even though the moorhen's nowhere near sharp.
But well worth a walk down to the ponds for the misty atmosphere and a new arrival - a single male goldeneye. Got some pics of him too but if he stays and we get a brighter day tomorrow, maybe I'll get a better one.

I've also got a little Christmas quiz for anybody who thinks they might know some Munros:
No.1
No.2
No.3
No.4
No.5
