He's just remembered.

He's not meant to be here.

He should have gone round to his pal's house instead, as arranged.

Instead, he'd wandered round to Hallhill as per usual - so it was lucky Matt and I were still hanging around there when he arrived.

And when we arrived at his pal's house, he also remembered that he'd left his gear for tonight's show in school.
