Profound thought #2: Instruments of torture..

.. up there with maternity forceps, plaster cast-removal shears and MRI scans (to my knowledge), these weapons of mass epilation are being snapped up in seemingly industrial quantities this Christmas. Are they gifts from men who don't like their partners to sport the Mediterranean look, or bought by women to disguise the fact that they're human beings and not perfect plastic Barbie dolls? Personally I can't see the point of them in Winter (a bit of fur can keep you warm) unless you have a special someone you want to impress with your smooth erstwhile hairy assets. After all, men are (generally) happy to strut around with hairy 'pits and with their "bits" nestling cosily in something resembling a young Art Garfunkel's head of hair...
