Homeward Bound

Headed back to Massachusetts today to spend my winter break with the family.

It went like this: arrive at airport at 8:30, check one bag, bring two carry-on.

Arrive in Denver: Flight delayed one hour due to air traffic control problems. Connecting flight in New Jersey inevitably missed. Plane boarded, one carry-on bag taken for checking due to lack of space in overhead compartment.

Arrive in New Jersey: appalled by rudeness. Landed 20 minutes after the plane I was supposed to be on left for Boston. Head to gate for rescheduled flight to Boston. Plane delayed 45 minutes. Laptop dies. Board plane to Boston.

Arrive in Boston: it's midnight, I was supposed to be here at 9:30. Family looks good. Oh good here comes the luggage. I'm sure my luggage was just at the bottom or something. Is that the end of the luggage? How to I track lost luggage? Do I get any extra frequent flier miles for this? No?

Arrive home: Hello dog. Dog looks good. I have no toothbrush. No clothes. Nana's Christmas party tomorrow will be a lot more outrageous if I have to go naked.
