The Holly and the Ivy

Evening all,

Had a good day today, lovely walk this morning with the family and the 'borrowed dog', we were out gathering a little bit of holly to brighten the Christmas decor, it felt like the first truly cold day that we've had, frost on the ground, breath steaming up, and ice covering the water butts, it was a little funny watching the dog try to negotiate its way into the water, still it managed with a little help.

The light was great this morning and i took loads of photos, the majority of which were rubbish, but who cares!

Afternoon spent shuttling between Sil's house and my dads, then an evening by the fire, toasting crumpets and roasting chestnuts....yes, we do still do that!

And tomorrow, i shall go to work with a lovely buttonhole of holly and berries...told you we got a lot of it.
