Best viewed eye of the wild large

I seem to struggle with the beak of Elgar, it's always over exposed, it's so bright against his dark feathers, can anyone give me any tips here? :)

Elgar was very much part of my day today, he practically sat on my shoulder as I distributed the worms evenly between him, his Mrs, Little Larry, the *other* robin & a dozen or more sparrows who have cottoned on to feeding time! :)
