Frosty Walks and Minty Tea

Keara has been my best friend since school, but because of uni I haven't seen her since September so I had a long overdue catch up with her today.

We munched on Welsh Cakes, exchanged presents and would have parted on good terms if she hadn't chosen to grimace when she saw my Christmas jumper. Oh well.

In the afternoon Mum and I donned our wellies and wandered up to the lake, which has received its first layer of ice this winter.

All of this plus a carol concert in the evening has made me feel oh-so festive. The combination of seasonal excitement and Lydia coming to stay tomorrow means that it will be a small miracle if I calm down enough to sleep at all tonight!
