Milky Way over the Pentlands

Well, it's there. Just above the trees there is definitely the start of the Milky Way in this shot, just a shame there was the light cloud cover. It looked as if the sky was clear but the camera was picking it up and the light reflecting from it. Need a properly clear night to try again and possibly increase the ISO slightly and maybe risk a 45 second exposure rather than a 30s one. At 10mm it shouldn't matter a lot.

I do reckon it's dark enough up there to be photographing deep space and will return again as soon as we get a clear night. No moon to bother about the next few nights so keeping fingers crossed.
