Icy Olive Oysterlings
Panellus serotinus
I made it out down to the valley today, and it was looking very pretty in the wintery sun. There was a lot of black ice around which made it tricky in some areas, but I was glad to get out and get the fresh air and exercise I needed!
These lovely mushrooms seem to thrive on ice and snow; I first noticed them in the valley last year during the big freeze. I took a picture of them a couple of weeks ago when they were living up to their name and were a real olive green colour, but today, they were showing a distinct wine colouration.
