A Cautious Walk

Yesterdays photo was taken out of the car and today I went for a cautious walk in the woods to see how much damage storm Joachim had done to the trees.

It wasn't as bad as I had expected. Branches scattered all over, but no fallen trees (yet).
I spotted one cracked tree, held upright by the neighbour tree and kept my distance. Just in case.
The forestry workers will be busy for a while, no doubt.

These trees caught my eye - you can still see what direction the rain came from.
Everything was soaking wet; it was a muddy walk.
Home now and about to light the 4th candle. Happy 4th Advent!
