Tree Hunt and Decorating 2011

Gander (Martin) and Goose (Staci) arrived from Spokane last night and so this morning we picked up family friend and "adopted" son Scott and all went to select a tree. We went to the lot that the monies for the tree go to help defray costs at Dunshee house for helping those living with Aids. Tree selecting went easy....we all agreed on one first spotted by Goose. I had already decided to downsize the tree again this year. We all wear crocheted hats made by my mom when she was alive as part of the tree tradition.

It did fit into the back of the car but those riding in the second seat were NOT all that comfy altho Big R managed to fall asleep as he does;) Mt. Rainier was out to see as we drove across the 520 bridge back home to Bellevue. Before the tree went up we had a delicious lunch at the vegan Tea Pot restaurant where Goose and Gander were wanting to go!

Tree got up, lights put on going with mini all blue ones this year which was a big change too, and then the decorations were selected and voila! All done and looking festive for another Christmas time together...the best gift of all.
