Angels - or scary creatures?

About 5 years ago Kariba and I did an Xmas craft class. It was a Saturday morning thing. Lots of fun. We made these angels and so they go on the mantelpiece each year. They look a little more battered each time! Kariba's is the silver one, mine the gold. This is their first year at this house as we moved here in January.

Dave reckons they look like something evil straight out of Doctor Who with their blank faces.

In the background you can see the lovely iron candelabra the kids gave me yesterday. Perfect for that narrow mantle.
