Aunt Bea's Chicken

This giant fiberglass chicken has stood along S. 10th Street as long as I remember. For year's Aunt Bea's chicken restaurant stood here. Fried chicken has always been a traditional Indiana food and Aunt Bea's did it right.

I suspect that pressures to improve our health are to blame, but we now have to drive the better part of an hour to find traditional fried chicken anymore.

This building now houses a veterinarian...that doesn't treat chickens!
